The Toronto East Sathaya Sai Center availed yet
another Seva opportunity on Sunday November 5, 2004. This seva
opportunity arose out of the efforts of one of our center member Shobi;
and at the behest of Dr. Giri, members of the centre gathered at the
Triology Elders home to sing the glory of God. The Bhajan started at 4pm
and ended at 5 pm.
The highlight of the evening was Krishanth’s
performance, our Bal vikas Group II year 3 student who played the
Harmonium for all the Bhajans with Suji at the Tabla.
20 adults and 9 children along with the 11 residents
were present at the Bhajan. 3 of the residents had family members and 2
had care assistants with them.
At the end of the Bhjan, the residents were each
given a flower, by the children and the delight of the residents were
readily seen on their smiling faces. One family member asked if this
would be a regular feature on Sundays. Dr.Giri also pondered if this
would be a regular event and he would arrange the hall to be available,
should the centre agree to.
A care assistant from the Trilogy also presented us
with a thank you card with a picture of Bhagavan. This gesture touched
our hearts, for the Triology home had done some research into who we
were and also of Bhagavan.
Before everyone left, Dr.Giri’s mother presented each
member with an electric toothbrush as a gift.
